Grandparent's Say It Saturday

My goodness it’s busy around here! Two families moved then Itty Bitty’s adoption day, and three kids birthdays and parties one each weekend from today and the next two weekends. I won’t get a break after all that though because I have to get ready for Harvest Day! I have a confession too; I bought a birthday present for today instead of making one. Oh I’m not happy about that at all, but I can’t seem to get caught up and get everything ready on time.

I’m making a new recipe today for this birthday girl’s cake; I think everyone is getting tired of my usual recipes of Carrot Cake, Red Velvet and German Chocolate. So I’ll be trying a White Chocolate with strawberry filling and White Chocolate Cream Cheese icing. I thought that sounded really delicious! No I won’t be able to taste and test it myself but I’ll let the party goers be the judge and decide if I need to remove it from my recipe stash or if it’s a keeper.
I want to say congrats to Joyce over at What Happens at Grandma's! She just became a grandmother again to twins! It's her second set, a double blessing.

I’m glad you are here; I hope you enjoy linking up and/or reading all my linkers today! Stop back in a day or so to check out new linkers ok? And don’t forget to leave them some comment love so they know you were there.

  2. Thank you for the lovely comment, Connie. I think it is so cool that, from opposite ends of the country, we will always celebrate 9-13 as the day we added at least one granddaughter to our families!

  3. What fun goings on! I had three birthdays last month, three this month, only one next month - in fact, there's hardly a month withOUT any birthdays.

I'm with you ALL the time - generally buying rather than making as no time. BUT I am "making" one gift this month - a cd with some great free downloads for one beloved to take on a long trip. And I'm constantly researching great iPhone and iPod apps for the kids and grandkids, preferably free, and sending them that info. Granted, it's not my "grandma's homemade" but it's done with love - like all you do for all your loved ones - including those awesome sounding cakes. And when we boil it all down, that's the important part. :)

Have a blessed AND relaxing time!
