Hi friends! I have made some changes; 2 actually. WUW link party is going away! Sadly yes! Click throughs are just not happening and with my time as limited as it is now I really don't see the point of continuing. I do still want to feature you though and in order to do that I have 2 new ways for you to get the word out about your blog post. 

Here's the first change;  I have created a group Pinterest board for you to Pin to instead of linking here on Wednesdays. Also I am going to try something I haven't seen done before; I'm going to try a perpetual link party page. You can link up there anytime you want. You will find a new page on my page bar above.  From these 2 places I will pull post that I like to feature on occasion or include in round ups. What do you think? Interested? Then read on......

Hey ya'll! Where did the week go! I surely don't know but it's gone. I had the lovely opportunity to have my dear DIL over, and spend time with my newest grandson this morning. That little guy is growing like crazy! He gain 4 lbs and grew 3 inches in a month! He's a chunky little money for sure! I can't call him my itty bitty can I? My DIL stayed for lunch with all of the kids and I; we had home made chicken soup with home made bread.  Well welcome back to Wow Us Wednesday link party. I'm so glad you are here!

Howdy from warm AZ! It's kinda hard to get into the season when it's in the 90's! I am trying to get ready for our Family Harvest Day happening this Saturday and I am having a time getting into the spirit of it all. This last weekend I took Kids Club kids on a field trip to Pioneer Village for the Harvest celebrations there. It was too warm for me but we all still had a good time.

It's Wow Us Wednesday link party time! I'm glad you are here! The week flew by for me as I have been a little extra busy; 'little extra' as in new grand baby busy. Of course his being here does not require anything of me but I simply can't stay away from him. I am spending any extra time at his house holding him and playing with his big sister. He will come here when he's 3 months old and mom goes back to work. Won't I have fun then? A 3 month old, a one year old, 2 three year olds, and a 4 year old. I think I'm tired already! But it will be fun time.

Another week gone and another link party! We are on baby watch around here, yes another grand baby due any day! Pretty exciting stuff let me tell you, and grandma here is getting anxious to meet the newest member of the gang. I've got my silly, high pitched just for babies voice all practiced up and I can't hardly wait to kiss that sweet little face and smell the top of his head. Oh it will be so grand! Who will he look like I wonder; you know only one of my grand kids only slightly look like me. Why is that? Maybe this one will just a little ;)

It's Wednesday again, or Tuesday night ;), and it's link party time. Fall is my favorite time of the year and I am starting to see some Fall projects linked up here at WUW. I'm not ready to decorate for Fall yet but I am doing some Fall gardening. Fall is a great time to garden here and often is better than spring. I started seeds indoors and I have been watching outside temps for the right planting time. This weekend may be the right time. I hope so! Have you done anything special this season? Gardening? Hello all! Did you hear about all the rain we had here in Phoenix a couple days ago? We thought we would all get washed away! It was a record breaking rain as more rain fell in a shorter amount of time than has ever been recorded before. Some areas got over 5 inches in a few hours; we are not equipped to handle all that water at once and pretty much the whole valley has damage of some sort. 

The Governor declared a state of emergency and a lot of schools closed that day  from flooding and because getting around town was very difficult or impossible. It was something else for sure. My house is fine and I did not have any flooding or damage thanks to the patio drains no longer contain crayons!

Welcome to another Wednesday! Glad to have you here again friends! We had some pretty intense heat this Holiday weekend....enough to keep the man of my house and myself home inside. I don't do anything when its super hot outside. If the current weather trends hold it looks like this will be the last week of the high temps for the summer, yee haw! I am looking forward to it, want to get my fall garden in.

Hello everyone! I am back on the blog, yes a bit late but it is still August right? I am doing better since school started, regaining my energy a bit, and it has been cooler here in hot AZ and that helps a lot! Have you seen the news with all the flooding here? Well I had one room flood a bit, it happened 3 different times actually, during all that rain we had. It was my craft room/office.

We live on a bit of a hill and that room is only an inch or so above ground level. There are 2 drains on the patio to keep the flooding from happening. The drains have worked wonderfully all these years as long as we keep them free from leaves; until this last month. The last big rain I watched as the water level started rising on the patio and began to creep up my arcadia door. I was determined I would somehow keep that water out no matter what. I gathered up all my towels and throw rugs and packed them around the bottom of the door.

Well of course the water was coming in anyway but I did slow it down. The kids were in cranky moods and fighting and I was at my wits end worrying over everything getting wet again in there. I was afraid mold might be a problem too with yet more moisture. Suddenly I had a thought......what if I used the toilet plunger on the drains?  Crazy idea I know but I grabbed it and went outside through a door on higher ground and plunged away on those drains.  The kids thought it was hilarious watch grandma out in the pouring rain wet all the way  though plunging away on those drains! I discovered one of them had a blockage of rocks and crayons! So that’s where the crayons went! Hmmmm….little stinkers :)  The plunger opened the drains and the water soon disappeared.

Is it really Tuesday night?! Another week has gone by?! Wow I can't seem to catch up, no lazy summer for me, too much to do! Yesterday was my oldest sons birthday and I made him a favorite from scratch meal and his favorite from scratch cake. Invited the family over. It took me all day to cook and bake while watching the kids. I was really beat by bedtime. How are you doing this summer? Lots to do or can you relax and slow down? Happy Independence Day!
