Hello everyone, happy Saturday to you! Today I am sharing some news with you about some changes I am making. This will be the last SIS link party. It makes me sad! I have enjoyed meeting with you here every Saturday morning for the last yr. But the truth is, I am so busy and sometimes so tired at the end of the week I almost forget to put the party up. I love the meeting time, just having a hard time getting it done in a timely manner. I am trying to not have so much on my plate all the time.

Say It Saturday
Hello SIS'ters! Welcome to my place for Say It Saturday, a link for us mature, older bloggers. I am so glad to have you here once again. I am enjoying wonderful Fall weather here in Phoenix and I am trying to take advantage of the weather to get caught up on things around the house. Things that get put off because it's so hot here for so long. But I won't get caught up because someone will need me for something I hadn't planned on and there I go again :) That's the way of it when all your kids live so close by. But where would I be with out them? Aw well, there's always tomorrow right?

Say It Saturday
Welcome to Say It Saturday my friends! As promised I have pics of the photo props I made for one of the birthday parties last Saturday. I had only one piece of cardboard so I used both sides and the cut out needed to accommodate both pics. It's a little low for the mermaid.

Say It Saturday
Happy weekend to you! We are busy today with 2 grand kids birthday parties. All day yesterday I worked on a couple of fun cardboard photo props (I don't know the proper term). They are as big as a second or third grader with pictures painted on them and a hole cut out for the face. Is that what you would call a photo prop? Anyway, my daughter email a couple of pics from Pinterest and asked me if I could make them......on Thursday afternoon! Well yes I had some cardboard and of course paint, I am a well stocked gramma after all; you never know what you may need!

Say It Saturday
Hello all! What a busy week it was around here; actually all of September has been and will be really busy for us as a family! We are looking at 2 birthdays this this coming week, and I need to spend the rest of the weekend making gifts. I took a little time yesterday afternoon to plant a few fall plants and finally set out a few veggie starts I bought a couple of weeks ago for fall. Yes, they are late and all I can say to that is...what's new?!

Happy Saturday to you! Welcome back to FH&L Say It Saturday link up :) Today I want to give you little report on my last Kids Club meeting. It was expected to be a hot day so we started early. Again we returned to to the campus of Phoenix First Assembly (click here to see the first outing at PFA) for our adventure since the girls had such fun there. This is a huge campus, over 70 acres. I have a lot of pics here!

Say It Saturday
My goodness! I am sitting here nodding off and about to turn off the computer when I remembered.....it's Friday night! I need to get Saturdays post ready and scheduled! Well well, one day I may forget completely.
We have had such mild weather here and a decent amount of rain too; and the weather forecast says rainy all weekend. It's a great break from the heat of summer. Everything is growing like crazy, weeds and all! We will have a family BBQ this Labor Day that will include swimming I am sure. I am also trying to get a Kids Club meeting inserted into the weekend somewhere. Let's see if I can manage that too.

Happy Saturday! Glad you all stopped by today. Well I am still in that vacation mode, that state of mind you get when go out of town and slow down. It's nice and restful but I am not getting anything done around here! We had a nice time last weekend and I don't have one photo to show for it. Forgot to take the camera!

Say It Saturday
Hello everyone! As you read this I am enjoying a weekend away. One of the interesting things about living in the desert of Phoenix is that in a mere 2 hours drive you can be in in pine trees and temps that are 20-30 degrees cooler. Fortunately we were able to get away and enjoy some of that cooler weather! We will enjoy a couple of days of relaxing, sitting on the deck, drinking a slow cup of coffee or iced tea....gosh I think that sounds nice!

Say It Saturday
Hello all. AZ weather is cooking once again; 109 today. One of my kids started a move last weekend and it took all week with everyone helping after work sorting and packing then cleaning up. Actually it is still going on! Moving is hard work and they have down sized to a place about 1/3 the size with no garage. It's tough to sort out all your accumulated things and decide what to keep.

Say It Saturday
Hello SIS'ters! Welcome once again to Say It Saturday. School started this week for some of the grand kids, in 2 weeks for the others. Can you believe it?! It always feels like summer is nearly over once school starts but the reality here in the Phoenix valley is that it will be hot for a loooong time still; right up and into October. And even then, it is still pretty bad outside. Why am I going on about this so much?

Say It Saturday & Meeting My Sister
Hello friends! This last week I had several of the kids at my house and during lunch one of the cousins started asking my oldest grand daughter about Itty Bitty (who is adopted) and why we have her instead of her birth mom. My grand daughter told the story so well and I thought it was so sweet, that I later asked her to tell the story again while I recorded it. On the video, she didn't really explain why we have her like she did during lunch, but rather the first meeting of her new baby sister. The story she is telling actually takes place over two or three days.

Teaser alert! Hi everyone, last week I told you we were trying to finish some projects and I was doing some painting. Why do things take so much longer when you get older? Yes I am still working on it though I did finish the kitchen cabinets. Didn't get pics though before it got dark so maybe next week.
Below is what we are trying to finish up today; it's my new pantry! We are down to painting the door and trim on this project. I'm showing you the before and hope to have a completed project to show you next week.

Say It Saturday
Good morning, how are you today? Times flies doesn't it? It seems only a day or so ago when it was last Saturday. But here it is again! I have been busy touching up paint all through the house and painting kitchen cabinets. I just started the cabinets last year in July; then a family emergency brought it all to a halt. A whole year has gone by and I am just now actually getting them painted. A fresh coat of paint makes everything seems so clean and new. I love it!

Say It Saturday
Hello friends! I am continuing on today with my Kids Club outing at the Phoenix First Assembly campus. I chose PFA for this outing because I wanted a place for the kids to see several different kinds of trees up close. I wanted them to see and feel the bark, and look at the leaves on the trees. Trees are different colors, have different textures and of course are different sizes. My goal on this outing was to teach them a few things about the different kinds of trees and teach them to really 'see' what they are looking at.

Say It Saturday
Hello all. Today I want to tell you about the last Kids Club outing I took the kids on. I want them to learn about different kinds of trees and be able to name a few. I also want to teach them to actually 'see' what they are looking at. I decided to take them to Phoenix First Assembly for a tour of the grounds in front of the church. This is a picture heavy post so I have decided to divide it into two parts. Next week I will show you the kids and their activities.
This is also the church were my daughter and grand daughter performs for the Christmas pageants and other programs.

Welcome SIS'ers! Have you ever cleaned silver? I have a couple of pieces that I rarely polish. I have seen this idea on Pinterest to clean silver the easy way so thought I would give it a try.You use aluminum foil, baking soda and hot water letting the silver piece soak a while. The idea is that the aluminum foil will attract and pull the tarnish off of the silver...I guess a reaction to the baking soda and hot water. Here is my before.

Say It Saturday
Hello everyone from sunny and HOT AZ!!! Yes it has been rather warm here and that keeps me inside and reluctant to go anywhere. I have been feeling a little ....um....burned out? In a rut? Restless? Not sure what I need I just know I need something! Usually when I feel like this I take a class in something and it snaps me out of it.
I think this time I just really need to get my creative juices flowing and create something. I've been kind of leaning towards sculpting and this week tried to work on a paper mache piece with my oldest grand daughter. I have to say, I have not created with paper mache other than covering a balloon to make a pinata years ago. It was a bit challenging to get the paper mache piece started right, it is going to be a cat, it looks a little wonky right now. I looked online with my grand daughter at all the different things one can make with paper mache and was rather surprised and impressed! There are a lot of really creative people around the world.

Grandparents Say It Saturday
Hi all. I have to tell you that I am so over loaded with responsibilities and things that must be done right now that I just can't get around to everyone to comment from last week. I had to choose between time spent commenting or attending a family function. Sorry! Family wins! But please know I love you all and appreciate that you come by every week. I truly love my online community and of course, that includes you! So sorry this is short and sweet, but I have to run. Gosh thanks for coming by!
