Grandparent's Say It Saturday

One month ago today, my sons dog was lost while he and a friend were hiking in the desert north of Phoenix. I felt as if my life has been on hold, waiting to get on with it until she was found. She was, 27 days after she was lost, she is our miracle dog! It's quite a story and I intend to write about it.

I am once again sick, this time with a stomach virus and have not been able to sit up until last hour or so. I think all the extra stress has gotten to me. So sadly I once again did not get around to reading and commenting on your linked up post. But our Daisy is home and doing well, and it's all good! I have a picture here of her before she was lost, I didn't want to post her recent pics because they look pretty bad as you can imagine after 27 days! She's such a good dog and so loving. Her eyes look older and weary, and she is having a little issue with separation anxiety, but she is our same ole Daisy.

It snowed here this week too, and here is a pic of the parking lot at a local mall. I'm so glad Daisy wasn't out in that! We never know what is waiting for us just around the corner do we? Thank you for coming every week, I appreciate you all very much and think of you as my online family.

While you are here I hope you will visit the other linkers and come back to see who links up later. We all love comments! No Etsy shops or giveaways please. This link closes on Monday night.
Be sure to visit Lisa at Grandma's Briefs to join her linky, GRAND Social, on Mondays. Thank you for linking up with me!

  1. Connie, I hope you see a fast recovery. Now my husband is sick. That means it will be my turn again next week!
But the important thing is that your beautiful miracle dog is back home safely! There is no greater heartache than having a loved one -including a pet- missing without any idea of what they are suffering. In your case, you also hurt for your son.
Divine intervention. That's what brought Daisy home. God does care about us personally and respond to our prayers! You have affirmed that for me!

  2. So glad your precious dog is back!
I hope that you feel better soon, Connie. Rest and get well! I'd say 'hugs' but you are germ-y...:)

  3. I hope you feel better soon.
So glad your dog is back. I've heard a couple horror stories of dogs that have gone missing. Hearing yours is safe, makes me happy. Can't imagine if mine got lost out in this weather.
    Have a great weekend!

  4. I am so glad for you that you got Daisy back. Having Twursula our cat gone for 14 days I can almost feel your pain. Worst 14 days ever and yes, I do think the stress of it takes your resistance down. We are calling this flu the Monster Bug. I hope it doesn't hang on -- and do know that your online family IS thinking about you and we appreciate that even in your weakest moments you throw a party for us! Feel better my friend. You can catch up on your reading anytime -- the beauty of the internet.

  5. I understand the angst related to our pets, who we consider part of our families. A happy ending! Yes! Sorry you under the weather; feel better soon.

  6. I'm so, so happy Daisy is home. I can't wait to read your post on it (be sure to include a "tissue alert"). I hope you feel better soon. The bugs are so bad this time. I'm into the second month of crud, longer if you consider the pre-Christmas yuck that went away for about 10 days then returned. Sheesh. Feel better!

  7. OhHHHHH! I'm so happy for you and your family. My granddog got outside once, shortly after being adopted from a rescue agency. I prayed so hard and ran so fast - and dialed the number of his mama since that's who he was chasing after - including in a busy street. God was so gracious and she came back and helped me get him before he could disappear forever. I am STILL praising God for that and know, very much, how upset you must have been and how happy you are now. Celebrating with you! :)
