I’m always looking for ways to keep cool around here in the
summer. One way I do that is by using my patio grill whenever I can. I just found a new way to use it to cook
bacon. Line a cookie sheet with foil and fold up the edges to hold the grease
in, place the bacon strips on the on the foil. I closed the lid, using medium heat on my grill and checked on it's progress occasionally. I liked how it held its shape and
all the strips cooked at the same time without over done spots or undercooked
spots.
I also have a ‘thing’ about cooking smells in the house after
the meal is long gone so cooking bacon on the grill keeps the smell and the
grease splatters outside. Once the
grease gels on the foil, fold up and throw it away. Easy clean up too.
Do you use a grill to cook? What’s your favorite summer grilling
tip?

That is a great idea and for all the reasons you mentioned! I love bacon but I had the mess and I hate that the house smells like bacon for a couple of days! Thanks for the idea.
ReplyDeleteSmart idea. I rarely make bacon, mostly because of the grease. This is a great solution. Will have to try it.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite grilling tip? Convince someone else to do the grilling, especially when it's hot outside! :)
LOL! My favorite grilling tip is to have someone else do it too! But on occasion, I get stuck with it.
